Lucy Casken, is an average girl that has just started college. Her first day at college introduces the second main character named Emily-Jayne Hart. The film starts off with Lucy sat in the Library on herself, because we wanted to pursue her as a loner. However, Emily-Jayne comes and sits next to her and they begin to talk to get to know more about each other. Overtime, they become really close friends but Lucy is getting bullied by several people around college. She tries to not let it bother her because she had Emily-Jayne, and she was there for her all the time. One day the bullying became too much for her so she decided to have a word with her tutorial teacher. Both girls sat down and Lucy explained what had been happening. The tutor asks for her name and she replies ‘Lucy Casken, and this here is Emily-Jayne Hart’. The twist behind the story is that Emily-Jayne is not real. The tutor sits there in puzzlement and wonders who she was talking about. In the end he remembers about a death that happened several years ago when he started teaching at the college. A young girl named Emily-Jayne Hart committed suicide and the reason why Lucy was getting bullied was because she was talking to herself and Lucy thought she was talking to someone who was actually there, when in fact there was no one.
